Supported Doorbell Cameras

Thought I saw a listing on the old forums. Anyone accept that listing by gamble? I am actually hating my Band Pro.

I am looking for a list and/or recommendations myself. The HikVision appears to be ONVIF compatible. Amazon reviews are mixed, but in fairness nearly all their IP camera reviews are in the tank, so a grain of salt may get with the territory.

Yes, tell us more than

After one of my neighbours had his Ring doorbell ripped from his wall, I am beginning to remember that a standard doorbell and a small photographic camera may be a less expensive, and less stolen method. Clearly the thieves become around looking for the standard £200+ devices, and accept them.
I did have a look at door spyhole cameras, but well-nigh of them are toys. The one that I liked was a inexpensive £xx analogue spyhole camera - I can connect that directly to BI via the Piccolo Pro menu, and I think the lower resolution wouldn't be a problem for identifying people standing at the door (Since the other cameras in BI already cover the other angles). Add together to that that at that place is no visible "as seen on TV" camera or expensive doorbell to steal, and it keeps getting better and better. Hmmm :geek:

I just spotted an article comparing the Nest and Ring doorbells, and it claimed that burglars would be scared abroad by the presence of this visible deterrent. Oh love. I already have evidence that this thinking is flawed
